I wanted to make my FB look newer. kinda like it was made in the 90's?? I want your guys opinion on it. Is it fly? or is it to "Out there"?? Please remember it's still a project, and it still needs work.

Max7 12-22-2005 12:09 AM

The one pictured in your avatar? if so where do I buy one? I like it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

dknollRX7 12-22-2005 05:18 PM

Yeah, that pic on your avatar is shwank as hell. You gotta do the flush mount headlight conversion on the project car tho. That'd look bad ass. It just wouldn't look right with the lights up blocking the scoops.

RE_TurboFB 12-22-2005 06:24 PM

Yeah, I plan to get the flush headlights, But DAMN!! CPracing wants a arm and a leg for them. plus there prices keep on going up. even the DIY kit is $350 on sale right now $500 reg!!

drifter 12-22-2005 07:50 PM

you could do something like this

I've got semi-mixed feelings. I really like that your goal is to update it to a more modern look, but I would buy a first-gen for it's vintage appeal. I'm sure there's plenty of market for something like that though.

yeah I got my FB because it was cheaper insure, cheaper to upgrade?, plus i got the car for $200. Plus is it the lightest out of the three gens??(don't know for a fact). Always thought the stock front-ends were "funky"

looking..

Yes, lightest. I want a first-gen so bad I can taste it. Just saying that I would get it because it's got that vintage appeal to it, but I also have the FD and 8, so that would mean that I already have the modern rotaries.

is that a 240sx front end made to fit, i wonder aloud?

RE_TurboFB 12-28-2005 10:47 PM

Its a Black widow air dam, ment for a 2nd gen Honda CRX. I have done my best to mould it on, but it still needs some work.

4RotorRocket 12-29-2005 12:35 PM

f1ernie 01-12-2006 10:23 PM

I think it looks great, keep up the good work, build it to what YOU want.I'll have new posts for mine in Spring & it's comming along sweet.

Don't buy from CPRacing ....they're thieves

RE_TurboFB 01-12-2006 11:08 PM

Yeah CPracing.com suck's ass, But how else do you get flush head lights.....Humm I guess I could give it a shot myself....And save a arm and a leg!!

f1ernie 01-13-2006 06:57 AM

A little fibreglass, some plexi & a few good hours & I'm sure you'll put something together. You did such a good job on the air dam that flush lights would be a breeze...what about Nissan 300 zx lights ? A used set might fit nicely in there...Just a idea...

I always thought someone might be able to modify those lights and sell them for a profit. The 300zx is a car with a very similar headlight profile.I think it could look tight if it was done right.

R.P.M. 01-23-2006 12:15 AM

Whoa!!!

I love the look of that!!

I'm gonna have to check out the local ricer shops to see what a Black widow air dam kit is worth.....

That REALLY looks good to me
