Somehow we managed to get an ice storm a few days before christmas...and I ran into a mail delivery van. Didn't hurt the van because my car was so low...but the front of my car was sorta...hanging there. It still runs perfectly...but the passenger side took a pretty good hit.

I'm going to have to find some way to switch all the bumper hardware...im sure it can be done...I'll just have to go look at my parts car to figure it out...since its pretty much tore apart anyway.

Which brings me to a new topic. Instead of paying for replacement panels or trying to fix the ones I have I've decided to just order a body kit. Mariah's Mode One kit is what I've been looking at for a very long time.

Currently I only have about 600 bucks...but I should have the money required and then some come march. I'm wondering if there are any other FB body kit options...that are affordable?? I'd really like new wheels too...but that can wait a while.

I've also been reading the articles on engine porting quite a bit...as I've been thinking about porting my 12A for quite some time. What I was planning was a periperhal port and a Webber 51 along with a turbo possibly. I'm not really sure i'd need THAT much power tho.

Either way the engine has to wait until after I get a daily driver for work.

Any input on the body kit would be appreciated...or even information/links on painting...as i'm rather new to automotive painting.

Heh...it just keeps getting BETTER by the minute!

I pulled up to a friends driveway today and the Kenwood mp3 player in my dash turns itself off...I'm like...ok...thats really odd

Then I smell smoke...and upon looking in my rear view mirror...the whole rear of my car is filled with white smoke...

After the wreck I noticed the bass just wasnt hitting as hard as it used to...I tried changing all sorts of settings and the stupid amp just wouldnt push worth spit.

So i'm down a 400 watt jensen amp too it seems. I guess its time to look into the new kenwood units...since my birthday is in march...thats not tooooo far off https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png

As for the body kit, It takes some time/fabrication to fit, mount it all up, and trim it to make sure your wheels/tires don't rub. You won't be needing a 51mm IDA, a 48 is plenty if your going 12a or 13b Streetport or Bridgeport, or even PPORT. You just have to know how to tune it. Also 48 IDA's are very coldblooded, dont do well in the cold, don't idle worth anything, not very good low end response, no choke. etc. As far as sources for fiberglass, prepare for spending over 1k for the full package. There are a lot of companies that make 1st gen fiberglass such as www.piner.com/japco

www.iscracing.net

www.victoriabritish.com

etc.

Good Luck
