Coolness! Let us know how you do!

Latin270 10-15-2006 07:49 PM

Was that easy to tune? What shot nozzle you using? Was your motor rebuilt prior to adding NOS?

the engine was rebuild 3000 miles ago and im using 100 HP shot, the kit is cheap for 388 dollars it comes from 50 to 200 HP shot. i have it set up that it will open once the secundarys open in the hollley, i dont have to press a buttom.

wait so everytime the secondarys open up you'll shot the 100HP spray? Isn't that goin to be bad for citying driving or do u have a cut off switch? Can u just turn the bottle off when u dont want it on?

bstrange99 10-15-2006 11:22 PM

You might want to thing about a fire extinguisher and adding towing to your insurance policy.

Your tach is off by 9500RPM. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png (ok, I'm sure it has a memory feature, but it looks funny)

I just have the NOS installed i havent use it jet but hopefully i will get to tried at the track next friday. Im waiting to get a new mallory fuel pump tomorrow, i have 2 holley fuel pump but they suck.im using 100 HP shot.

Stock Josh 11-06-2006 01:10 PM

I'd be interested to know if you get the nitrous to work using a plate kit. I couldnt get mine to work on my racing beat manifold. In the higher gears the car would pop and sputter, or nose over real bad. lease let us know how it does. I would try it somewhere "safe" before spending all that money at the track to find out it has something wrong, please let us know.

I already try it, I didnt have any problems at all. im using the racing beat manifold too. I also using this spark plugs

NGK Spark Plug - R6725-11.5 for high horsepower racing engines. This spark plug is NOT recommended for street use. This part number will apply to both leading and trailing spark plugs.

when i know im going to use NOS i replace the spark plugs with these when im done i put the old ones back on.

I went to the track but i broke the diff I just got it replace today. Before I was running 9.5 1/8 of the mile without juice .it probably be a second faster. right now im working on making it turbo but is going to take me a while to get it done it is expensive so im going to buy the parts one at time.

bigboi12A 12-29-2006 07:13 PM

Stock ring and pinion gears suck I have blown through a few here and there,, that was witha a half bridge 12A. Where you hittin the juice off the line? Is your motor ported or did I miss that part?

se diffs really arent any stronger than a gsl diff. u just get full posi and a 4:09 ratio or some thing like that. Not that I konow two mutch about nos but I think your gonna keep breakin diffs when you juice off the line. Is it possible to activate the selinoids on the fly. Like say when you shif into seconed than juice, or does it not work that way.... Or run a smaller hit, like 75-50 hp. Final thought stronger rear end!!!

I have on my 79 complete SE suspension. I was thinking about getting those 4.44 racing beat gears. about the nos i just installed a toggle switch so im going to activated once i hit second gear but im really thinkin in a T 2 engine swap i called Kilo he say is going to be around 5 to 6 G `s to get a engine swap with everything he does , he say is going to run 11s 1/4 mile but if i do that i really going to need a ford 9 inch rear end.

bigboi12A 12-30-2006 06:34 PM

Ahh you talk to kilo,,,, you live in central florida... So do I, Kilo builds my motors hes verry good. Alot of people talk **** about his prices but a kilo engine will last trust me on this!!!!! If you have the flow to do that then run with it amigo!!! keep us posted on your next run with the juice......

djmecca_lmp 12-31-2006 02:16 PM

MY ADVICE 2 U , DONT GO WITH RACING BEAT REAR END GEARS CAUSE U GOING 2 BREAK THAT FASTER THEN THE STOCK SE GEARS. ITS TRUE WHAT KILO SAID U WILL NEED A 9 INCH. 4 REAL THOU,FOR 5 OR 6 GRAND U COULD BUILD UR OWN MOTOR AND GET A WOLF 3D,BIGGER TURBO,AND DONT BE CHEAP WITH THE FUEL SETUP AND U WILL HAVE A LOW 11 SEC CAR WITH OUT SPENDING ALL THAT MONEY.

let us know how you do & first and for most stay safe man

*edit* thought u meant this week sry about what happened

84stock 01-20-2007 03:00 PM

It sucks to see a post create some interest with no follow up. Lots of readers would've like to see some conslusive results like 1/4 mile times or dyno results with the nitrous, but instead we get the usual track closed, broke this type of stuff. I've got lots happening too but I've learned to post results rather than hopes and promises. I hope you get this unit running well and post results one day.
