Yep, finally got the injection stuff back on on Friday, so before I tried to start it again I tested compression again just to double check - well the rear rotor has nothing whatsoever on two chambers and about 20psi on one . . . started it in hopes that if the seals were stuck they would get knocked loose . . . well it did exactly the same as before, revved to about 3000rpm with the pedal to the mat, slowly dropping in rpm as it began to flood out.

So now I must decide - streetport or bridgeport? Actually if the side housings are still good I'll just do a street-ported six-port, otherwise a bridgy is very tempting . . . probably switch to a Weber carb as well. Gotta get the engine out and apart before winter hits (no heated shop - -20 degrees + working on car = unhappiness), then see what I all need, and commence to send the long-suffering credit card into shock - again!

So what would be a good alternative - I'm sure not planning to keep the horrid stock injection!

I haven't really investigated the different aftermarket injection systems all that much, honestly.

Not familiar with the EFI in Rx7's, as we never got the 13B in the Gen 1 shape here. Does it have 2 or 4 injectors? NA Cosmos had 2 injectors (big fockers too) on the 13B. NA Gen 2's had 4 injectors

I guess it depends on budget! You could use your existing setup with a fuel only comp. On a ported motor you could use the turbo manifold (much bigger runners!) & throttle body.

A fuel only computer and injection stacks on a IDA Weber manifold would give good results and a horny sound!

I use a Microtech on my 20B but from what I can see on this forum after sales for overseas sucks!
