So I've been on NP for quite some time, but now I really feel like part of the community. After all my talk about an engine swap and blah, blah, I'm sure you guys thought I was full of crap. Here's what I picked up today:

She's a 1985 GS.

She's got a few nicks and dings, but for the original paint I'd say she looks pretty good!
The frame is straight as an arrow and rustless. |
Here's the last pic.

Forgot the specifics!
73,681 miles on the original engine. Lots of stickers. The owner before the guy I bought it from went crazy with them. Mazda performance carb. with 500 miles on it. Some sort of 3APC performance exhaust, something like that. A body kit that I didn't know was stock. Anyways, I can't wait to get my hands dirty! Oh, and the interior is flawless!! I will post pics of it tomorrow when it's light outside (I had to get the car in south Georgia, 4 hours away). Thanks to t331 for giving me what I thought was a good deal on this car: $1400. |
Car looks Great, good luck with the engine swap and any other future plans you might have for it.

thats nice...i also like the durango with two diff rims!! that is pimp!!!
|
nice!

Yes, excellent ride. You need to get some white rims for that, either teh ROH Snypers or teh Kosei K1's, powder coat them white, it'd be dope.

Aside from that front damage on the passeger side it looks clean. Is that one of the rare stock Erebuni style bumpers?I know a guy here with a 84 that has that same front like my kit has and he said its a OEM urethane piece.

I love those imsa kitted cars. Theres one a couple hours from here, its pretty beat up and doesnt look like its been anywhere...but the kit looks in good shape. One day im gonna offer the guy some cash for it...

Reminds me of my first FB minus the mufler, stickers, dents and spoilers. I wish I never sold that GS... It would have made a better turbo FB than my current FB.
Not too bad for $1400 |
thats pretty bad, just get rid of the stickers and espec. the APC one. very nice car.

Tim had that car?!?! I wish I got a chance to see it while it was still in Thomasville. Man, that guy has like a super radar for finding deals on 7's. He found a woman selling 3 1st gens that was like 5 minutes from my house!
|
that IS a nice interior.
so.. you plan on swapping the motor in taht mother? i wonder how long that APC muffler will hold up lol https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
Yeah I plan on doing either a TII or Cosmo swap, I've posted asking for help on making the decision!
In the meantime I was thinking about running a blow-through setup using the same turbo I would use with the TII or Cosmo. I don't know how feasible this is, so I'm asking as many questions as possible! Baldy -- you're right, he's good at finding deals. I inquired about his sources but he would not disclose his secrets. |
