I am posting this in behalf of who is having the problem. The car is an SA with a ported 12a and Holley setup. It is running with a Holley fuel pump regulated, and the carb is sitting on top of an open spacer.

Here is the problem:

Floods every so often and when it does the plugs get removed and then crank engine over to expell extra fuel. Plugs get cleaned with a spark plug cleaner and then re-installed.

After some tuning to the Holley it had another flooding problem so repeated the above procedure and noticed while cranking that more fuel would come out of the front rotor than the rear rotor. Switched Holley back to old setup and still have the same problems. What could cause this? We know it is not engine related because it still has great compression and was rebuild I beleive under 4k ago.

If you're still fighting this, I'd check the pressure on the fuel pump. May be pushing TOO much pressure and the carb can't/won't shut it off (either carb). Put a pressure regulator in line would be something you could try.

i recently fitted a holley blue pump and reg to my 12a bridgeport, and had nothing but trouble

with it,it would do simllair things flood etc, after cheaking it out ive replaced the reg with a mallpassi

unit and this has stopped the flooding issue but i think im still having flow and pressure issues with

the pump!!not real happy with holley products a,there seems to be a problem with there products

here in nz as alot of other people have had the same problem!

I have a Holley Red Label on my stock Niki with no regulator and NO problems.

What type of numbers is the front rotor puttin up for compression? Jetting issue maybe? Also are you using the internal regulator on the Holley or an external one?

ended up being the gasket between the bottom plate and the body.
