Whats up fellas, havin a problem. When I get my car to operating temp and go out "driving" Im getting hesitation when my secondarys open. Over all the car seems like it losing power but not missing the least bit, a lil flux at idle but not bad. Car has 88k on the clock and I'm the 2nd owner. Im gonna attempt a ghetto compression test today if time allows it. I just recently hooked my smog pump back up and noticed a bit of throttle response gone from that but that is expected. Clogged cat maybe if compression isnt all that bad? Also what should a 12a give me as far as compression numbers, its had a good life (huge list of paper work when I got, anywhere from oil changes to an alternator that went bad back in 92). Thanks ahead of time, this site has always been helpful to me.

check the linkage on the secondarys, they have a tendency to come off

Any ideas on what my compression numbers should be? I know the secondaries are opening, I can feel the transition from 2 to all 4.

Just found out that my problem may be ignition related,I removed the belt to my air pump and the loud whirring noise went away. Apparently it had a bearing going bad. Played around with my coils/ignitors a bit and found out that my leading coil for some reason is not firing both of the leading plugs no matter what plugs I have in or what coils I have hooked up in any configuration. Im going to replace my cap and rotor AGAIN because I think they may be the culprit, there is a huge piece missing from the middle of on of the leading contacts inside the cap. I cant feel any freeplay in the distributor rotor shaft though so I dont know how the rotor managed to hit the cap. I'll post pics of it tommorow when I get to work and have a chance to pull the cap off in the sunlight again.
