Hello everyone! Im new to the forum but i have had my FB since April/May of 2004. So i have picked up a few things through trial and error. My 12A motor is original and it always had a dowel pin leak ever sice i bought it. At the time the motor had 81k on her. Over time i started using that LUCAS OIL Synthetic STABILIZER on every oil change. Well guess what that dowel pin leak went away after the third oil change with that Lucas oil syn Stabilizer (the motor now had 141,000 original miles). We all know that the only way to fix the dowel pin leak is by a fresh rebuild....well i am living proff that this stuff works and after you use it for a while you will see that your doewl leak will go away. Just wanted to let you guys know. Its this stuff:

Along with this i use Castrol 20w-50 for every oil change.

here is my baby:

yep, me too

It probably has so much oil stabilizer built up in the engine that he doesn't need to ever put oil in it again. :-)

Rebuild it. I'd never use anything thicker than 20w50.

I've never tried the synthetic, but have always been happy with the standard lucas addative...
