I am not sure why but the J109's keep failing on the leading ignition. I am on my 5th igniter now and I am getting pissed. The trailing works great and I haven't any issues with it. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? I am about to convert to direct fire to fix it because there isn't a voltage drop or incorrect voltage. Could the dizzy be bad?

Coil might be bad. Or you didn't use any heat sink compound.

I think I have figured it out. The extra grounding i did to help with overall strength of the ignition system was actually taking too much ground load. So the igniters wouldn't work because they couldn't get a signal through. All I did was re-ground to the strut tower and the leading igniter started working! Imagine that...Cheers everyone for your input
