I'm looking for the right set of rims for my 85 Gsl-Se.
The problem is all the good rims coming out now all seam to be five lugs and there usually offset for front wheel drive cars. The shits driving me crazy. What your option on this. Am I looking in the wrong places or what? Who makes a good race/ tunner rim for a Rotary-Rocket (RWD)? That's what I want to know. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif PK797 NYC |
What about all five lug conversion?
Anyone ever try it? It maybe worth it just to have more of a selection of wheels and you also get the bonus of a better braking system to boot. What do you guy's think? do-able? PK797 NYC https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif |

Rotary-Rocket (RWD)?
i forget wat memo# exactly but if you need it j9 can help ya out. you have a pretty good selection on rims i believe. you just have to look around. or you could go to your local rice shop and have them look some up. |
Dumbrotor
I've done all the above, but the selection is slim to say the least. Plus all the hot new **** seems to be FWD only type stuff. I live in NYC so it's not like I'm out of the loop (so you'd think) but still what do you think about my five lug converstion idea? Any ideas? Thanks PK797 NYC |
5-lug conversions have been done before, but its a pretty big mission. I believe there is some info on the evil forum, but I'm not sure where.
With SE suspension, I wouldn't have thought you would have that many problems finding rims. You may have to see if your wheel place will import.?? |
What's the real diffrence with the SE suspenion anyhow?
PK797 NYC |
The lug pattern.
Non-SE 4 x 110 SE 4 X 114.1 Edit: See with Non-SE, you can go with mustang rims which are 4 x 109's (or close to that anyway). Its doable, only a little dodgy. |
O.K. ya
So the non-Se has a tighter bolt pattern, right? |
WHat are you talking about.
THere are thousands of rims for gsl-se's Here are mine: http://users.pullman.com/jsjensen/io...Eibach-001.jpg Mine are +35 mm offset. The gsl-se suspension shares the same offset as most FWD acuras. If you cant FWD acura rims, than your city needs more ricers!!!! GOod luck!! BTW, i'll see if i can find this one webpage, they avhe like 100 rims on it. |

Iotus, Hey yours is a GSL right? what size rims are those im having a hard time getting wheels for my GS.
|
Iotus has a SE.Also SE pattern rims are so easy to come by.The offsets between FWD and RWD aren't that far apart. My Enkei's on my GT-X are for FWD's https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Easy ass 4 bolt to get seeing as 240's and older import RWDs use it.

rx7 offset is pretty close to front wheel drive offset. so just about any wheel for FF will fit.....took these right off my 87 celica and slappe them on my se. no problems...

the best sa ive seen (well i mean the wheels)
had a set of factory ones ***shock*** i mean just why get some cheeseey rice when stock still turns heads i wonder what my chances are with having all 5 factory wheels and a spare with an original potenza G1? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif |
Tire rack has a decent selection for the SE, but only 2 wheels out there that I have found for the non-GSL-SE. Tire rack has them also. A tuner style and a five spoke style, both in 15". I have the five spokes on my 83 and they look pretty good, a heck of a lot better than stock wheels.
