i've been screwin a tad more with the repu today, and I already setup the coils on a makeshift bracket i made.. but to keep things clean lookin I wanted to know if there is any reason I can't put the coils ontop of the engine.. since im using a t2 block that will be runnin non turbo on a 48 ida. Since i have all those stand offs with the threads on the block i figured i might be able to make a bracket to mount all three coils ontop of the block to save space on the sides.. and keep it all lookin neat and contained..
if there is no particular reason i shouldnt do it this way then it would be nice to know. maybe even some pics.. or links to old projects you've had.. that would give me sooo much morespace and ways to play around with the space in my e-bay. |

most of the fc and newer rotaries have the coils there, FD, 787.... rx8 is kinda there too, its fine

Should not be a problem. Most coils back in the day were mounted somewhere on the engine, not on the fender area.

im doin that DLDFIS system.. but i got all first gen coils.. should i change em for somehting newer? or will those work ok..? my idea was to make a bracket.. and if need be add some heat shielding material to it.. to minimize the heat..

Have you seen pictures of my setup?
