https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif I called the shop where it is at and the guy said that he thinks the problem is internal. I asked if the engine had any compression and he said he was going to check on it now and to call him in about an hour. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif
What would cause an engine with 112,000 miles to die like that? Cold weather? lack of driving it? driving it to hard? Anyone need a parts car? I am taking offers. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/violin.gif |
How long did it sit?
we should wait and see for the results of the test, but 20 years and 112k isnt exactly new

It sat for two years before I got it anf it has sat for 3 weeks in the cold.
the guy said it has a little bit of compression, he mentioned something about a reed valve? He said he is going to put trans fluid in on of the cylinders?
yeah drop some, atf. let it sit for a day or so. change the plugs, or clean the old ones. and see if it starts. it will smoke like a mother.
