I need help finding some hardware for the glass moonroof for the 1st gen 85 rx7. What I am trying to find are the "nuts" and seals for the bolts that attach the release clip to the glass. Does anyone know where I can find this? I have already tried mazda, and they couldn't even find it in their books. I believe it may be possible the glass moonroofs were taken from another vehicle. I have owned 3 1st gens, two of them have had this glass moonroof, but mazda seems to know nothing about them ever being offered. Can some one please help me locate the glass mounting hardware?

Where did you even find the glass moon roofs? Order 'em from Mazda? (blech) or is there a online store you can get 'em from? I didn't think it was an origonal option, didnt someone say something about finding it in a junkyard and it just kinda fit? You can get them on egay for about $75-$100 shipped on ebay if you keep your eye out.I am still debating whether to put one on or leave the steel heavy wieght on the 84.I thought that stocker hardware fits the glass ones?

I have a glass moon roof that came with my 85 Gsl-se but the hard ware on it is one big ball of rust. I did find the replacements at Victoriabritish. Good luck

ya i got a glass moonroof they are sweet looking definatly add some class to your first gen, they use all the same mounting stuff at the reg sunroofs, for the first gens i believe that the 79 came with one that can only be used for 79's and the 80-85 are all interchangable. anyways though, email me at mattrobb22@hotmail.com if you want somepics of my moonroof, use 1st gen moonroof as the subject. lates Matt22
