Thinking I should get an oil temp gauge. I'd prefer electric; any recommendations? Preferably under $100. Has to be accurate, I presume this would eliminate APC and the like. Maybe Racetech?
Where would the sensor mount? thx J |
autometer? there is a few different ways to mount the sensor
racing beat adaptor or you can tee it in with the stock oil pressure sender mike |
How much difference would there be in accuracy between an electric and mechanical gauge? I would think that by the time the oil gets through the tube to the gauge it would be all cooled off. I'm just wondering because sportcarmotion sells an HKS unit that would suit me nicely (small, and silver dial with red numbers would match my interior) but it is mechanical.

i like electrice ones, cause you dont have to run a line full of hot oil into the car

yeah that is a big advantage

Anyone know where to get A-pillar mounts for a first gen?
J |
Also what the temp range should be - the Auto Meter Ultra Light comes in 100-250 and 140-300?

Directfreak uses the FC a-pillar mounts, says they fit with a little heat gun treatment. Apparently the 89-91 CRX mounts work as well. These are from Autometer. J |
