Im looking for the information i need for turning my FB from carb'd to FI. I was thinking of going with the microtech lt-8 ecu. i guess my confusion comes in with what manifold do i need to run. as of right now i have a racingbeat intake manifold and a holley carb. what do i have to do to go from carb'd to fi, including the information that i need for the throttle body. when it comes to this project i really dont know that much as u can probably tell just by reading this. any information is greatly appreciated thanks parker

its all money pending. the easiest way to go from carb to efi would be to buy the old jdm 12a from the japan model gsl-se/savannah. it came fuel injected with a small hitachi turbo that pushed about 6 psi stock with 165 horse to the wheel that would make your fb run about 15flat with good tires. it is somewhat hard to find parts but i know many places that could get about anything needed. although the biggest downfall is some of these older models had the original weak seals that broke early, roughly around 65-90k miles. but if you had the money to buy one (about 1000) and have it rebuilt incase it does go out (about 1000-1500 more) and a few months so one could be located for you, i would def say do that. and you would still need a fuel managment system, im not too familiar with the lt8 but i looked it up and it looks capable of the job.

you can buy the 12a turbo engine from rotaryshack.com. it's priced around 1k-1200. this is the only way I can think of going from carb to efi. maybe dr. j9 can chime in?

you could buy one of those weber ida efi throttle bodies. or rebuild the 12a with a gsl-se center plate, and get the fuel injector holes.
