OK, my motor is soon to be finished. (what a christmas present to myself) It's being street ported, powder coated, freshened up with better seals...etc. What i want to know is what fuel pump/preasure regulator to go with, and what size my new fuel lines have to be? I need 6psi. I've got the RB intake with a Holley 600cfm carb.





As far as the ignition goes, Msd 6al, right? What about the coils, and how to go about the install?

THe stock send line is fine. A pressure reg won't be needed if you go with a certain Holley pump (I don't remember which color). Have you considered DLIDFIS? That MSD info is many years old and rather outdated now.

I did see a diagram on DLIDFIS a good while back. I've got a cheap purilator pump, but i don't want to use that crap and make more work for myself. Do you know were there's a diagram for the msd setup?

The little instruction booklet that comes with the MSD has diagrams in it.



Since you seem interested in using an MSD, be sure to pick up a DIS coil. It's a whole lot better than the old way of hooking the MSD to too coils. A DIS coil is a 2nd gen Leading coil or aftermarket where it has two outputs to spark two plugs at the same time. Basically, it has one primary winding and two secondary windings. The primary winding works better with the CD output of the MSD compared to two seperate coils of the old, outdated hookup procedure.

What about the trailing end? I am pretty interested in going with the msd box, but i also thought about the rotary pro pack and have heard bad thing about it. Any views on that? Thanks for your help by the way!

Leave trailing totally stock. It's been dyno tested to provide only 1 to 1.5 HP on a stock FB ignition system (the guy didn't even have a leading direct fire ignition system in his car). The only way to improve trailing is to move the wires from the trailing part of the cap over to the leading part. Now is the time to study a stock cap and rotor to see why this works.
