How can i tell the difference between a 12a and a 13b front cover?
|
I dont think there is a difference? Or is it the bolt holes for the oil pan are different?
No now that I think about it, a 12A cover can be used on a 13b. So I think there basically the same. As long as we are talking about FB stuff, the FC stuff is totally different... |
if you look on the right hand side where the metering pump goes, the 13b gsl-se uses an o ring and the 12a does not. that is the only difference afaik

i think 13Bs have 4 oil injection lines as opposed to 2.

The mounting holes for the OMP are in a different location due to the 13b using a 4 port OMP vs the 2 port on the 12a.
If you need to know exactly where the holes are in reference to the 12a cover, I can go out in the garage and look (I have a 12a and 13b front covers). |

Thanks all, thats what i needed to know. I picked up a 13b and wondered if possibly the front cover had been previously changed.
