It was my 3rd car overall. My 2nd RX7. A 1985 RX7 base. My 1st one was an 84 GS. It was clean, but I beat it so bad I blew the motor and tranny. I was young and naive. I believed that rotarries could rev forever....not rue...they only feel like that. Anyway..this was my 2nd RX7 that had 60,000 miles when I got it in late 1998. At it's peak it had a streetported 13B with tons of other mods. I miss this car sooooooo much. And partly why I now own an RX8. Anyways, I thought I'd share the pics.

Vosko, the 8 is awesome...I'm getting used to the power...I want some more!! HAHAHA....I'm going to get that Fuel controller that Canzoomer is selling...

Maybe a Borla exhaust...but I'm waiting for the Racing Beat one to come out, I want to see how people like it.

Yep, that was original paint. This car was mint...

It started out as a base 12A, drum brake diff....I swapped in a 13B 4 port, street ported, S5 lightweight higher compression rotors, holley 600cfm carb setup, mazdatrix dual exhaust to single muffler, tons of other stuff I can't remember anymore.

All on the stock 12A tranny, a GSL posi disc brake rear end.

Those wheels in the pic were 15X8 ARE's....195-50-15 Falken Ziex tires...

So many memories...I got married, had to sell the toy. I got some FC's, never really liked them too much. Finally just quit RX7's. Didn't have enough money to find the right 1st gen, so I started getting little fun to drive Toyota's.

Now I'm back to rotary power with my RX8.
