I have only recently had the time to work on her. Still lots to work out, still lots to go. But she runs!!! Suprisingly enough, she turns RIGHT over. No hesitation whatsoever. I"ve never seen a car start that fast. not even my mom's honda. Its crazy. Anyways. Thanks for looking!! Peace ~Geoff |
congratulations iotus!
you've come a long way. i wouldn't worry about finishing up. i'm sure with a bit of patience you'll be out there melting tires in no time. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif anyway, have you made a choice on which intercooler you're going to run yet? just curious. again, good job. 1 |
Cool, now lets see some more pics!

good job, at this point i'm still dreaming about getting to that point.

Isuzu medium NPR intercooler. I'm gonna polish it up a bit. Get it all pretty... Yay i'm excited!!!
Those things are HARD to find!!!! Very rare. |
There is a whole lot dedicated to trucks like the NPRs here in colorado. Its still like a 3 hour drive from where i am though, so i haven't made it up there to snag any. I wouldn't consider them rare, just expensive, especially for a hand me down. But they get the job done just as good as the rest of them. And they're HUGE.
|
I've heard $100 to $150 is a reasonable price for them. I'm willing to pay $225, i may have a hook up already. but i wont know until early next year (not too long from now!)

Yeah i've been hittin up ebay daily. Is that IC the right size for me?
|
its probably not a perfect size, but close enough. how much boost you plan on running? IMO its better to be a little to big than a little too small. When it comes down to it though, size isn't the main factor. its efficiency

There's three different ones. 1) Small http://www.rx7club.com/forum/attachm...&postid=743894 2) Medium (silver finish) http://i2.ebayimg.com/01/i/01/13/1f/48_1.JPG 3) Large (same size as the medium, but larger cores, it is also black.) http://www.rx7club.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=842996 I have the large black one, and I removed the paint from it. The smaller one is still very efficient, would fit better, and would work fine for your setup. |
Congrats Iotus, you finally got it done.
I would go with the larger one as it has bigger core size in case you ever upgrade your turbo, then u don't need to change the IC. Cheers, O |
