I bought a JDM S5 13BT, and it showed up with the apex seals ground into the rotor housings. So I salvage what I can from the wreak, And start building a new one.



So I buy a set of cermet B coated Rotor housings from JHB performance, Get some porting templates from racingbeat, And street port the housings. Then I cut cooling grooves in the housings water jacket, on and around the "hot spots"..

Both the rotors were toast. So I bought two S6 Rotors. Then polished them up.



Then I street ported the irons, And sent them off to racingbeat to get them lapped. I also sent the whole rotating assembly to racingbeat to have balanced.. I also ported the oil pathways at the oil pump while I has it apart.

All right. I put the 13BT together with a mazda OEM rebuild kit, But I used 93+ side seal springs, side seals and corner seal springs. I also traded out the stock oil control rings springs with some Mazda Factory Race springs.

I mounted the engine up, and used some cheap ebay turbo piping for plumbing... At first I vented the the wastgate outside, But it was way to loud. So I welded up a new downpipe for it..

I have a bit over $12,000 into my RX... But that is including everything.. My 17 inch rims, tokico HP struts, Racingbeat springs, Poly bushings, engine, stereo. bodywork etc ect.....

The car is sitting at 2275Lbs. and "G-Tech's" at 248WHP. I was hoping for a little bit more power from this build, But there are still some major problems to work out with the engine....
