I would say for the sake of completion get an 2 MSDs , some decent wires and new plugs. That should complete your basics.

camocarl 07-28-2005 12:38 PM

uhh, duh 15x7 mesh wheels

Shane.Trammell 07-28-2005 12:46 PM

4 puck clutch? probably not good for a daily driver. next you should probably do ignition stuff like AOO said. while youre doing the clutch you should probably get a lighter flywheel.

also, what happened to that being your moms friends truck? i know it was before and the other night when it wouldnt start you said that your moms friend was going to be the one to have it towed. that doesnt make much sense

A few problems (from racing beat):

The Sport/Race Clutch Disc is designed for road race and occasional drag race use. The disc features four (4) sintered copper pucks and a sprung hub for a quick, positive engagement. The quick engagement/disengagement requires careful driver attention - this disc is not recommended for street use. This disc interchanges exactly with the stock disc and can be used with the stock pressure plate.

You will need to purchase and install a fuel pump that provides a 6 PSI delivery with a minimum 20 GPH rating - selection will depend largely on installation location. The stock fuel pump unit is designed to provide high pressure (40+ PSI) for a fuel injected intake and is not compatible with this carburetor application. It is NOT recommended that a fuel regulator be used to reduce the stock fuel pump pressure to 6 PSI- the stock pump will fail. We recommend the Mallory 4070M fuel pump for this application

Installation of a manual choke can be accomplished using the Holley Choke Control Cable and In-car Mounting Bracket.

so with the carb setup you will need to get the other fuel pump and the choke cable. you also should get a different clutch bc you have no need for a 4 puck clutch

well, i pretty much had it figured that everyojne knew that a new fuel pump and choke cable were necessary to do the swap

as for the clutch, after sitting in bens fd with that street clutch and feeling how stiff it is, im going to go another route with the clutch

Shane.Trammell 07-28-2005 01:17 PM

you really should check out the 4 puck idea, its way overkill. an upgraded stock type clutch will be enough for your mods.
