When my 85 12a didn't like to idle/run at low engine speeds I ended up "rebuilding" (aka, take apart and clean with new gaskets) the carb. Looking back on it I probably should have tried some strong carb cleaner or something of the like before taking that ugly sob off and "rebuilding" it.

this is an OK pic of the air bleeds.

sorry, that one sucked!

here's a better one. I think this air bleed is for the idle circuit.

85 Factory Service Manual

I found this just now. It might help????

yah, its wierd it will start with a couple of pumps of the gas but it wont run under 2500-3000 rpms. we've been through just about everything, ignition, vacuum leaks, compression test. it actually runs better if you pull the fuel line off the carb and let it go into the carb
