what model cars have the dual pulley needed if you remove the air pump or your 85gsl,,, https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif and is there much to it to install...

Dual pulleys are aftermarket pulley's.You don't need them when pulling your smog pump off.Does yours have power steering?

prince 10-14-2002 09:22 PM

Just curious.I know of a few people with GS's and they say they don't have power steering, yet I read that most of them came with power steering. That messed up.

treceb 10-15-2002 06:57 AM

as fa as rx7, i dont think any came factory with them. if you want a cheap alternative to expensive dual pullies, contact banzaitoyota. he might still have some.

BTW..I got the best deal ever on my dual aluminim pulley...

A friend got a junk yard...and I found this there..and know they dont make duel pulleys for first gens stock...so I brouht my mii screw driver with a maganet and tested it ..and it didnt stick,,,So I took it off the alt and bought it for $5. and going to polish it up..and they usally go for $40-45.

rxpower 10-20-2002 07:35 AM

There was a guy somewhere in this forum that I had talked to a while ago and he was selling the pullies for 2nd gens for like $20 shipped I was gonna buy one but I'm still debating weather to totally take out my ac and ps cause thats when it really makes a differnce.

SoRRoW 10-20-2002 08:33 AM

Stripgear 10-20-2002 10:24 AM

It has been reported "somewhere" that mid 80's 6 cly Chrylers with the Hitachi alternator have a double pulley that will fit.

Stripgear 10-20-2002 10:25 AM

Check that - Mitsubishi alternator.
