I know 2nd gens flood rather easily, but I'm wondering if a 12a with stock carb could also flood just as easily.

You'd need to leave the key (fuel pump) on and pump the pedal many times.

I have to pump my peddle about 5 times just to start the car. You have to have a screwed up carb to flood, or have too much fuel pressure.

Nah, I don't think it's flooded. It doesn't start, lol, but probably not because it's flooded. I haven't had time to work on it 'cause I've had my hands full with getting my TII running.
