I just bought a dellorto 48 carb and intake for a 12a yester day. the price was so lowi couldn't say no ($150) I have always used holleys and am extremly un familar with these type carbs. I have herd lots of pros and cons over the past few years Con: poor cold starts, not so good low end performance and last hard as all hell to tune. But who gives a **** it was so cheap. Now the Pros: kick as high end performance thats what its all about right there to me anyway. I plan on using this set up on a street ported motor that I got for a steel also. What kind of performance can I expect. Most important of all parts I thought I heard rumors that parts, like rebuild kits and what not are hard to find. any and all input is much appreciated.

i had one of these back in like 94-95 it ran nice, no cold start issues, pulled well from 2000-7000.

i guess the carbs have been discontinued and parts are hard to get, but i dont have one so i dont know

After I posted my last reply I figured I shoud do some of my own reasearch. I made a call to racing beat they sell filters, intakes but nothing else. The tech dude was cool as hell he told me they were great carbs but he couldn't recall of any company that still had parts. So when in doubt use google good old google carbs unlimited is the company just put dellorto carbuerators in and you'll find it its like 46.99 for a rebuild kit. I hope they still have this item in stock. I guess I 'll find out soon enoufgh.
