[quote name='Shane.Trammell' date='May 12 2005, 06:26 PM']ill try it with it out and if its too cool(if thats even possible) ill put it back in

i think the hot problem could be related to my oil. my oil seals are bad or something so my oil is very thin and gassy, so it may not be cooling as it should. maybe i should ditch the omp and premix

Keep the omp and run some mystery oil to bump the compression/clean the motor a bit.

Im not one to ask, I use Mystery oil because that mainly what got my beast running again after its 4 years hiatus (sp?). I just use the Mystery oil "In case **** happens". https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

If you had oil in the cooling system, it would be foamy. It's more likely rust comtamination or something like Bars Stop Leak that is coloring the coolant.

I drive it maybe 3 times a week, no more than about 60 miles a week and I do have some spirited driving occasions. I started using some MMO at the last fillup(4 oz) but i don't know if i feel safe enough with just MMO , i think im going to premix instead.

MMO is the milk of the Gods, I just wont use it in my oil cause it thins it down. I will run some thru before an oil change and I use a ton in the gas tank.

Please explain MMO to a rotary novice. We're autocrossing a 1st gen with a pretty much stock 13B, and trying to learn what we can about about the engines. The MMO comments sound interesting.

Thanks
