[quote name='1revnrex' date='Jun 18 2005, 09:21 PM']You think the 79-80 3 row would cool better than the stocker in my 85 GS?

well i would assume so if it is a three row instead of the two rad that comes in th later years

jgarza77 06-20-2005 12:26 PM

some 84-85 even came with or got replaced with a 1 row, 3 row is better than one, and has the brackets to hang the oil cooler, Ive heard about the REPU radiator being a 4row, but I havent seen one and are not very common or for that matter easy to come by so I cant be for sure. If they are 4 row I would love to have one swapped into my engine bay. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

[quote name='jgarza77' date='Jun 15 2005, 08:00 AM']Buy a lower radiatior hose that has a coil in it or a very stiff type, mine liked to collapse at higher rpms.

I couldnt find one either so I bought a Goodyear cut to fit hose from Autozone, the ones that look ribbed. They are very sturdy, just watch the curve, it doesnt like 90degree angles.

The 84-85 is Two Row Radiator, but it is over 1/3 Taller.

The 79-83 is a Three Row, but it is 1/3 shorter.

They are both fine. I am currently using the stock 85 radiator

You get the lower hose from MAZDA. It's cheap.

My car runs at 180 degrees, in the hot sun, leaving it idling with the A/C on full.

When cruising, it's about 170 degrees.

This is my new fan:
