Ive got a 79 7. I want to put some coilovers on the rear. i'm thinking of mounting them were the shock went, and just remove the old spring. I'm just wondering if anyone knows where i can find coilovers that will fit there and fit up in the shock tower. With the front im going to use a fc front crossmember rack and pinion with the whole steering column and wheel. I just need some help with finding some coilovers for the rear and front just cant find any good sources. would appreciate it alot i really want this car to be top notch.

Ground Control sells a coilover kit. I think you can get it at Summit. www.summitracing.com

otherwise you can google it!

Good luck

The shock tower isint designed to handle that load. It's not gonna be an easy thing to fab up. If you need adjustability, consider adding an adjustable spring perch like the NASCAR guys run (availible from any circle track shop) , or get the adjustable spacer from ISC Racing.

Putting in coilovers just for the sake of saying you have coilovers is boy-racer crap. Top-notch means taking the time and spending the money to do it right. If you're really looking to put your RX-7 right for competition, buy Jim Susko's setup manual, read it, and then ask him what would work best in your application.
