Hi all,

I currently have an 85 GS. So far for mods I have added a header, 2 1/4 pipe, no cats, turbo muffler. I rebuilt the stock carb and my buddy jetted the primary and secondary fuel jets. The timing is also advanced and I did some all around maintance stuff to the rest of the car to get it operating well. It runs pretty nice now and is quick. I am wondering if I upgraded the carb to either the RB holley and intake or the Sterling carb would that make a signifigant boost in performance? When I am driving it now it just seems to me that more power should be attained. If I went the Sterling route would the RB intake match the Sterling? Which is better in your opinion the Sterling or the RB carb setup?

The Sterling carb is a great choice if you can get one. They are specifically built for a rotary, while a Holley tends to be so big that they suffer at idle and mid-range. The Sterling mounts to the stock intake manifold, so you could sell the Holley IM to make some cash to put toward the carb. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

Here's a video from an autocross last year to show how smooth the Sterling operates: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWpEYAKo0fU
