I drove my car home yesterday...the engine was warm...I parked her as I always do...but when I tried to crank her up in the morning for school the engine turned over...and over...and over...but she never started

We checked the fuel lines all the way from the tank up...fuel pump still works I think...we took the line off the carb and cranked it for a few secs...it put gas into the bottle...but I'm still not getting any gas into my carb

my dad even sprayed ether directly into the carb and it didn't fire...

If anyone knows how to fix this problem contact me on here...or reply...either way is good

First off, don't use starting fluid on any engine you plan on keeping for a while.

Second. Test for fuel, can you see it spraying from the needles in the carb? The fact that you use starting fluid and it didn't start would lead me to look for spark, pull a plug, ground it to the block and see if you get spark.

Also smell the tail pipe, does it smell like gas?

Well try the first suggestions, and make sure you have fuel being dropped from the needles in the carb while pressing the gas. And you are getting a spark.

Ive had this happen a few times. I really had the problem bad after my first rebuild. What happend to me was my apex seals would stick and cause no compression. What I did to remedy it was inject about a tablespoon of Automatic Transmission fluid in both primaries in the carb. This will give it enough compression to start and maybe unstick the seals. But watch out it will smoke like a SOB for a minute or 2, when it starts?

Be sure to give it plenty of gas while cranking the engine.

And cross your fingers and hope you dont have a cracked apex or a flattened apex spring?

Good luck...
