I've been having this problem with my car for a while now, and I really dont' know where to start looking for the problem.

In cold weather if the gas cap is on securely, my car will stall after say five minutes of running and refuse to restart while the key is in the on position, powering the pump. Once the key is off, I hear massive gurgling sounds from the tank, and when they subside, the car will start again. If the gas cap is off, this problem doesn't occur.

So, it seems that whatever mechanism vents my gas tank is FUBAR. What should I look for to fix/replace? I tried running without the charcoal canister, and that didn't work. My fuel return line isn't plugged an the valve in the line seems to be working just fine.

So, I'm at a loss. Suggestions anyone? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

Sounds like you know exactly where to start. There are 3 lines running from the gas tank: fuel, return, and vent. Could be water in your vent line, since water expands when frozen. Next time it's warm, unplug the vent line before it after the tank, but before it goes into the hard line, blow in it, and see if you get air moving in the tank.

Then unplug the vent line from the canister, and blow from there. See if any crap comes out of hard line, there's your problem.

its gotta be cannister, or the vent line to it. maybe its not happy when its that cold?
