I noticed that when I made left turns with the A/C on it leaked water onto the passengers feet. After a while it would leak on all turns. I removed the glove box and saw that the water came from a big connector between 2 big things under the dash (I have no clue what they are and the entire A/C system is absent from my Haynes manuel). Another water leak was also coming from the big thing next to the door with a hose coming out of it. I was told that you can't take any of the A/C sytem apart without it being decompressed. Right now the A/C blows pretty cold for being in Texas heat but I was wondering if I could take the connector apart and replace/reseal it without worry. I will try to get a pic later. Thanks

The drain to the outside is either not outside, pinched or clogged. Its fairly common.

Those covers can be removed with no worries of freon leaking out, just dont yank or pry to hard and brake any lines or stab the small radiator in there and you should be fine, remove the covers replace the seals clean out all the leaves and debris in there and make sure the drain hose that goes to the firewall is clean and unclogged.

just remove the A/C https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Uhh, this is Texas. There is no way in HELL I'm removing the A/C. I'll burn to death https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png . But thanks for the response. I took everything apart and cleaned it. Now everything works fine, except now after about 15min of driving with A/C the fan gets slower and slower. Fix one prob and another one pops up, dammit.

I did that mistake, A/C was busted and yanked it out. Not very fun to drive in Texas heat and Dallas 5pm traffic. I'll rather drive my Elantra to work and drive the Seven in the weekends on strictly highway rides. You will probably have to replace the blower motor and/or check your wiring. Its old wiring and may need replacing.

Your in Oackcliff? What color is your car? I'm right here in the Dallas Executive ( Redbird ) area. I had to take apart the fan motor to find the new prob. Just inside the motor there are 2 blocks held in place by 2 springs. One of my springs broke, easy fix, now if I could just get the A/C colder maybie I'll drive it more.
