Hi guys. I just bought a 1985 RX-7 today. On the way home with my new car, I noticed a buzzer going off anytime I applied throttle (not at redline, but anytime I give it gas) and it stops as soon as I lift off. It didn't do it yesterday when I test drove it, so I wondered if anyone knew what was up.
Some searching around pulled up a bit of info on a coolant buzzer, but I don't think that's the problem either. Also, the temp gauge looks happy and the car has plenty of coolant in it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |
there are three buzzers in the car
1. low coolant 2. low oil 3. redline the oil and coolant buzzers also have a warning light in the gauge cluster, its possible the lights dont work or something, they should go on when you have the key on engine off the redline buzzer, has no light. and i have seen a few that sorta go off semi randomly. if you search google the shop manuals are all up on the internet, i thinkthe redline buzzer is on the rear of the instrument cluster |
