I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that the FC front hubs will go directly onto FB spindles with the correct wheel bearings. Then all you need to do is make a bracket to mount the 4 pistons and you will have a car that will stop on a dime!!
CP Racing makes some kind of brake upgrade kit, they basically did the same thing. |
ive seen some jdm swaps that use the 4 lug hub and a redrilled 5 lug rotor, so you can keep the same wheels
|
Speaking of brakes, Mike didn't you post a link to a big-brake kit in my thread before the server got wiped? I was thinking about those brakes the other day...
|
That would only work if you had a GSL-SE, the regular GSL's have the hub built into the brake rotor.

Your Answer
you don't actually need the gsl-se spindles, just 84-85 ones, IIRC. That and hubs/brakes from the FC. might i also recommend the master cylinder, booster, and prop. valve as well. i'm in the process of doing all this to mine, maybe if it ever gets finished i'll post some pics. |
can also try cpracing.com i think it is
sure, if you like spending copious amounts of money for something you can do yourself for not much. |
Another way to do it is swap the FC subframe over if you want the 5 lug brakes and FC motor mounts.Theres a write-up in the FAQ section on that swap as well.
if anything i would think neg caster an that doent affect everyday handling....it's pos caster that u wanna stay away from |
Castor affects how strongly the steering centres itself. Can't remember which way round it is, but 5 degrees is what most cars run - I was sure it was positive, but anyway what I mean is the top of the hub is back by 5 degrees. HTH
