If you do the ReSpeed big brake upgrade, front and rear, you can have a very wide choice of 5X114.3 wheels. total cost could even be less than having custom rims made.



I'll be running 15X9 and 15X10 SSRs on my widebody once I gather up the rest of the parts for the brake upgraade.

Looks like you have the same kit as me. I'm going with CCW's just like Luiml73 had, he went for the classics but i'm going for the one piece rims. I'm running 17x10's up front and going to go with 17x12's out back. I have the respeed big brake kit up front and im going to use the grannies 8.8" kit out back. As for spending money, I really think anyone who has it (money) can spend it anyway they want. However, when someone says their car is better then someone elses they had better have proof or else it (the statement) is going to be commented on. Finally, I choose to spend my money on the functionality of my car, not its looks. Looks are for those who are trying to impress someone who doesn't understand the rotary engine or its following. A rotary is a born racing motor, and the body it sits in should adhere to that fact. That body kit is made for FULL race, meaning bridged, p-port, turbo, etc. the wider stance is to compensate for the increased g's and lateral forces of racing or high Horsepower cars, not a street port daily driver... something to think about

Everyone is ssssoo touchy here. First off me putting "the best first gen ever seen" is my opinion. I like my car. I could care less who has to say what about it. For the record, it has a shitload of work done to it. It was built from the frame up, literally! Its not just rice. It has over 20 grand in parts alone. All i need is a massive turbo thats about to be dropped in a couple months. Alot of people take offense to other peoples comments, i mean no harm and no confrontation. Its just not my style. To the original poster, you really need to do some research into Directfreak's FB. The car is VERY well done, no steps were skipped, and pretty much if you watched video of it, your jaw would drop to the floor.

I tried to look at directfreaks car but it wont come up in the nopistons garage. I repeat, i mean no harm or disrespect to anyone on this forum. Im here to chat like everyone else about there car. So be easy.......

by the way this is what it looked like just finished. i cant wait to touch it up and bring it back.

Lose the ridiculous hood scoop, and it would start to look better. 7's need something more low profile to match their lines. Still the only part of it that still looks like an RX7 to me, is the roof and glass. No offense or disrespect meant, just my opinion. I like mine stock looking, yet chirps 3rd when it's feeling good. It's not a super high performance car, but looks good to me.,,,,BB

you have the BEST widebody kit ever made for these cars. PLEASE dont ruin the car. youre very close to it with that uglyass hood scoop. ditch it and your car would look 234897234 times better. if youre planning on making any power go with the respeed brake upgrade. unless you plan on dragging with slicks, i wouldnt change the rearend. id just go with the respeed moser axles. top quality stuff.

I too agree that the scoop just kills the look of the car. Although, at this point it would cost you money to remove the scoop but it would still be worth it.
