Well about 2 months ago i replaced the pads on my 85 GS. Inside the drum was the self adjuster with the window in the back to help it along with inital adjustments.

The breaks work fine but scince than I have yet to get the E-break adjusted. I messed with the thing on the handle and when I pull on it you can feel the pettle move but the car will roll freely. Also the window behind the drum is in a hard spot to reach. I was wondering if anyone else has a trick to adjusting this system.

The shop manual i have tells me to mess with two set screws on each side but my car dont have this setup at all.

the set screws are for the 79's...

basically how you adjust drums, is to jack up the rear of the car, e brake off, and you want to tighten the adjusters so that the shoes are just barely touching the drums.

just doing that, usually gets the brake pedal in the right place, and fixes the ebrake, but there is a seperate adjustment for the ebrake, under the cover on the handle

Ok, my only concern is the location of the adjustment on the back of the drum... guess i'll have to get a small screwdriver. It's in a tight spot.
