The 'SE having an odd size opening for the head unit, makes things a bit difficult. Is there an adapter available to put a standard single-din head unit in that space? I could ghetto-rig something but I don't feel like it.

I've got that adapter. The fit isn't that great. I've had to make a brace to hold the head-unit level and trim the cover plate to fit. Plus, it costs like $25.

OK. I ended up ordering the Metra adapter - http://www.metraonline.com/product_listing...el=RX7&type=ALL - item 99-7501. Hopefully it fits okay

OK, got the adapter assembled, and the deck in the car. It fits okay, not great, but it works. Looks a bit, well, aftermarket ... if I end up not being able to sell this car for even longer, I'll probably fabricate a better fitting facia for it. Don't mind the weird artifacts from my semi-functioning camera ...
