I just fixed a radiator leak last year w/no problems. When i took my brother to school i noticed that i left a 2 block trail of smoke. I watched the add coolant light come on. pulled up in a parking lot. Noticed that i was leakin like a sob outta the rear rotor housing. Next to the back spark plugs. (couldn't tell where exactly cuz of the steam) but it leaks really fast when the engine is started. WTF?!? Is it repairable?

oil gets on it when you change the filter, and it disintegrates after a while

Ok, it's not the heater hose. I went to the parts shop and the guy looked at it and it wasn't the heater hose running by the oil filter holder thingie. The anti-freeze pools up on the back rotor housing(the part that says Mazda 12A on the engine). The guy said it might be my heater core leaking. I'm really stuck in a hole. I DON'T WANNA CALL MY MECHANIC!!! PLZ HELP!!!

it could be one of the fittings for the oil cooler (the big thing under the filter)

A cooling system pressure tester, a mirror, and a flashlight would find the problem real

quick.

just pressure up the system (engine off), and look around. but it is a $250 tool...

Nevermind me.

Found the problem. It appears to be the steel oil cooler line running underneath the oil cooler to the front of the engine. But doesn't it carry oil, not anti-freeze?n WTF it's really pissin me off. A new steel hose cost $113 on Mazdatrix, i wanna make sure it is really the steel hose b4 i buy a new one. It looks like it's leakin right underneath the oil cooler at the point where it gets thinner. Like a coupling from a wide hose to a thin hose. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
