I made this 6 port bridgeport engine a year ago. Initially I made this engine for an FC. That FC was totaled in a bad accident and the engine was installed in this 1985 Rx7 GSL-SE model. The exhaust is tuned and his running a racing beat intake and carb. The car pulls hard and sounds really awesome.

Looks good Ito. Thanks for the pics. I am interested into getting a motor rebuilt, would that be something that you would be willing to do? Please email me @ camocarl@aol.com

Just today when I took these pics I asked the new owner of the 6 port bridgeport engine if he was interested in going to the dyno. He said yes. hopefully I'll have some dyno numbers. I could tell you that he and I was racing in the highway. (Rx7 6 port bridgeport vs my 14 second Rx8) and he pulled away from me, with no problem from my decently fast Rx8.

Looks great!!
Gotta love the old school! |
Old skool representin.Clean car.Just want some numbers.damn that motor looks awesome in there.Makes me want to redo the motor on my 83.I am still not sure what to do with it since my 84 will be out on the weekends tho.

How much does one of these motors cost, installed and all? Ballpark?
|
To pay someone to do it all. A good BridePorted motor installed, I would say ballpark 2500 to 5 grand. Depends on who builds it, etc.

|
Looks clean. I'll take one https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I wanted to add, This 6 port bridgeport engine was build over a year AGO. The first owner drove it hard to the point where he drove his FC into a couple of parked cars and destroyed his FC. The new owner has been beating the crap out this engine for about 10 months and no damage(or cracks) on the 3mm bridge. I just wanted to point out the reliability factor with a bridgeport. There is no need to be scared right away about the bridge failure. If the bridge is done even thicker like 4mm for example you could get some good years out any bridgeport engine.

Good points, Judge. Nice work!
|
thats a nice car!
|
Looks real nice..
|
Beautiful! I can't wait to see some numbers.
I know "chrome don't get 'ya home", but what kind of spiffy looking alternator is that? |
hows the engine holding up now?
Who sells the bridge port templates. |
A lot of people make them up. but you can buy some from Racingbeat. A bridgeport template comes with those diy-re videos but I don't know how good it is.
