I believe a stock 79-82 Radiator is a three row (shorty & Fat style),

Ot it may just be that it is "thick enough" to squeeze a 3 row core.

The 85+ FB radiators are all taller and thinner (definately 2 row).

The TII radiator is fine for high output TII's, if you really want more,

go with a Griffin Radiator or a custom mounted V8 one.

My -se radiator cools my car awsome but I kind of wish I had a short fat one so I could mount my oil cooler under it like factory.

Isn't it ok to mount the oil cooler in front of the rad, like the GSL-SE?

I have a 2 row in my fb... it runs straight on the middle.. as far as the temp gauge says... there is a radiator shop that is a block away from me and I am gonna have them see about about a cost of a 3 row... copper and brass may have a tendency to leak more over time as opposed to aluminum and plastic tanks... but with copper and brass ..... you ca make a still..... 3 rows are better than 2

It's ok but when you have a IC where the oil cooler used to sit it makes it kinda hard https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

That reminds me..I have done a 13bt swap into my gsl-se and unfortunatly the FMIC that I had made is just a hair too narrow to clear the rad..I was thinking of cutting the rad width-wise about an inch to clear the piping since thats all I need..Is an FD or older style FB rad any narrower??It will be alot cheaper and less complicated if I can shorten the rad rather then do the tanks on the cooler over again and since we are only talking about an inch the cooling properties should not be affected..Any ideas??
