well I think you guys have helped me fix my ignition problem. Now the next question is I'm installing a street ported four port 13B into my 1980. I'm coing to be using a T3 gerret turbo and innercooler I already have a 650 holley double pumper. I'm going to get the holley intake from racing beat. My question is, is the 650 to big if so what carb & intake would be recommended? And what jets would you reccommend as a good starting point?Yaw power has a nice carb would that be able to be converted to a blowthrough carb. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

A T3 is 2 small.

650 is fine.

Directfreak is right as usual. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png The T3 is small but will work. You will need a carb hat tho.A 650 is good for turbo applications. The more fuel the better with boost as DirectFreaks work of art for a fuel system shows. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bling.gif

I plan on building a carb hat out of aluminum with my mig. I'm going to use a rising rate fuel presure regulator 5-25 psi to take care of fuel needs and a msd timing retard to handle timing under boost. And for the turbo I'm going to get the T4 compreseor wheel and housing to make a T3/T4 highbread. I read that it should produce around 35-40 pounds of max boost and stil spool prety quickly for streetabilaty. I read that with regular T4's you get to much lag for the street. I want to be able to eat up handa's and **** out mitsubishi's at every light. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/devil.gif

35-40psi is too much boost, you're shooting for like 14-15.

way too much. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif

Then why would a T3 be to small? It is perfectly capable of producing 14-15 lbs with a compressor AR of 60. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

its about airflow not boost

Well I already have the T3 and carb what would you recomend?

what kind of MIG setup do you have that enables you to weld aluminum? I tried doing some aluminum welding before with a MIG and failed miserably, just curious... I would still like the ability to weld aluminum at home but after some research I found one needs to invest alot of money into something along the lines of a water cooled TIG rig that would require new electrical service wired to the house, just to weld aluminum with good results. it dissipates the heat too quickly.
