nope, they came with n/a 12a motors



and the hatch is mariah flavor

I can't decide if I hate or love that hatch thing.... It's WAY better than the Mariah one though!

never was a fan of the hatch. but i like the car. wonder if its legal to drive.

n/a 12a is a 4 port just like the cars here just sans emissions.



GTX savannahs came with 12a turbo engines.

there was a six port 12a...it had a black air filter cover and it said 6 port on it. i think it was fuel injection. i just saw a pic of one the other day too...

"Mazda had been working hard at improvements for the 12A. First of these was the 12A-SPI or six-port-induction engine. Imagine the Honda V-TEC variable timing system and the SPI engine was the rotary equivalent. So how did it work?



Placed above the secondary ports at the front and rear plate was an auxiliary port kept closed by a revolving cylinder. At a predetermined rpm, exhaust pressure pushes a diaphragm to spin open the cylinder and open the rotor to a third port for induction."
