ok, so my buddy and I are going to do this swap. just a 12a w/ front mount and stock everything else except for exhaust of course. Ok so I'm wondering about the wiring install. Is it just a simple plug and play install with the harness, with exception of the FI fuel pump?

What is a good pump to use? Walbro? maybe stock GSL-SE pump?

Would I have to use a GSL-SE fuel tank, or would it be an easier alternative to anything else?

And also, I need any info on finding a wiring diagram for the 12A Turbo, since I would need it to find out where to wire up the fuel pump to. Or could it just be easier to wire it up to a switch/relay?

Thanks for any help guys, sorry I didn't search!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

gsl-se tank is the easiest option, gsl-se pump is ok too, although you could step up to something bigger.

if its a stock 12at engine, you can use a gsl-se harness although the stock gsl-se ecu wont work too well. the stock 12at has 2 ecu's and they are basically worthless too.

you be better off with an aftermarket ecu

an easier way for the fuel pump is to use an inline fuel injection pump. so you can keep the stock tank and lines. the carb fuel pump is already inline. just put the FI one in its place. ground one wire. give the other a 12v source to a switch and your done. a fuel cut switch is always good anyways...

if your trying to stay cheap, use a megasquirt ECU. i dont know how hard it is to use a 12Turbo ECU. but i doubt its easy...

ok cool, I can start looking up the inline pumps for now.

And we might use megasquirt, since I know a guy who can build/tune them locally. Although, I think he had some other plans for the ECU.

Also, he has a GT30 that he's wanting to upgrade to sometime down the road, but for now, he just wants his FB running again!!!

After running it stock for a while, I'll be upgrading to a fully tunable ecu in order to run with the GT30R. Like the OP said, I'm just anxious to get the car back on the road. I'm actually still working out the detailing on how I'm going to be getting the engine here, so I'm not quite sure exactly when I'll be getting the engine in the first place.

just wondering, why choose the 12a Turbo? its hard to find, more expsensive, and less potential. not saying its a bad choice. just curious.

a 13b turbo is easily bought from many places. theres a huge following of aftermarket parts for it. and most of it has been done before, so theres always help from here or some where...

I think he's just getting a really good deal on a whole 12at swap with a fmic setup.

I keep telling him he needs to swap in a Nissan KA24DE, but he just punches me in the face whenever I mention it!!

oh yeah, I've had 3 different 240's over the last 5 years.

beat the crap out of 2 of them with KA's, and one with an SR.

and the SR spun EVERY bearing while driving at 40mph in 5th gear.

So far, I think there has been a slight delay in how soon he's getting the 12A-T swap, something to do with shipping or something.
