Hey, guys once again I'm in need of assistance in this never ending pusuit of happyness with our cars. Dont get me wrong,I'm very happy with my car, as lons as its working correctly. Which turns out to be mostly when its off.
My problem is as follows(well at least the one im interested in fixing now): When I turn on the heater, I get a strong antifreeze odor in the cabin. Is this a bad thing?? I dont mind, I dont have the heater on for long periods of time. But i just wanted to make sure that this wasnt due to something wrng with the engine itself. thanks. pAcO |
Usually if you smell antifreeze, you usually have a leak(Yeah, took a rocket scientist to figure that). Check all your hoses and around your heater motor.

Woohoo, am i glad theres one in this forum.lol
Sorry, i was just at the other forum and their stupidity is contagious. I checked that before and there wasnt anything visible from where i looked. Plus my car is not marking his territory. But i havent checked underneath yet. Maybe I need to make a more thorough inspection. thanks. |
Heater core? maybe?
