My RX-7 lives again. Just got it back from the shop this morning...and it runs great. I havn't had it over 4000 rpm...as I'm supposed to give it 150 miles or more of "taking it easy" before I start to drive it like I used to. Also got a brand spankin new clutch kit installed. Seems to idle anywhere from 300 to 600 rpm depending how warm the engine is. Also I noticed that the engine has quite a bit deeper tone...perhaps because of the carb?...its something Yawpower worked on...stock with new jets and some other work. I think they said "gross" jets or something...guys at the shop seemed to think I would get better mileage after everything gets broke in. I plan to replace everything under the hood before new years since I have a job now. Almost forgot...anybody know where the fuel pump on a 84 gsl is located?...I'm about to order a carter pump first thing for my baby...but...I don't know where to put it...any help would be appreciated.

Stock fuel pump is on drivers side in the back by the rear wheel ,Yes there is like a skid plate protector...

Im not sure on the carter fuel pump your gonna get BUT I recommend the Holley blue fuel pump...

Its rebuildable...

Cost is around $100. give or take more..depends where you get it...

Comes with a Fuel Pump Regulator...

and you can mount it in the same area as the stock one..

1 Thing I hate about it ..is how loud it is...It dont matter..cause when Im driving..I cant hear **** anyways..

Check my sig...for item and part number...You can eithyer get the black pump if you want it real quiet..BUT thats alot more cash..

Congrats Falcon, its good to hear you got the car back on the road again. You might as well take it easy on the engine for the first 500 miles or so, just to be on the safe side.
