This is a warning to the new members, as I'm sure those that have worked with JudgeIto already know what a terrible mechanic Ito is. I heard of Ito from this website, and he came highly recommended. I had asked him replace an ECU on my FD and he handled it ok.

So when my engine blew 2 years ago and I needed another one I asked him, given his steller reputation on the boards and my past experience working with him. I love my FD and I thought Ito was the most knowledgeable rotary expert in North Jersey. He asks me for $1000 as a deposit right off the bat. I thought my car in your shop was deposit enough but hey I give it to him since I trusted him.

He said that even though he was closing his shop down he would still get my car done in 3 weeks tops. By this time he was working at Realdeal motor sports and when 3 weeks came up he said he was tired with two jobs and that he would be done in in another 3 weeks.

After this happened 3 times in a row I got impatient with him and let him know. He actually got mad at me, and tried to hand me off to someone else, while pocketing my $1000 "deposit". The 3 week stall just kept on going for 1 AND A HALF YEARS, everytime he had a new excuse: tired after working out, kid troubles, wife troubles.

My FD broke down in the summer of 05, and in the 1.5 years I had moved to FL for school, came back for summer, got married and my car was still just sitting in a deserted lot in the middle of the ghetto. I tried to be understanding, I even offered him an extra 300 if he could just fix the car while i was NJ for summer break. But he continued to stall me. When I went back to FL he ignored my calls altogether.

Eventually I just got sick of his **** and texted him (he has since stopped answering my calls) and told him I would sue him if he continued to avoid me and hold my car hostage. He calls me back and says the FD is almost ready. It was broken into to, the stereo was gone and the rims were stolen but Ito promised me he would replace them. I get the car back and my door handles are missing, the rims he put on were shoddy (i had stock rims) and were missing bolts and the center emblems. But the worst part was the the engines was still leaking oil.

I phoned him and he gave me a huge sob story and how he wasn't going repaying me for any damages. He tells me his new shop was vandalized and he hasn't worked in months, and had some obscure neuropathy.

In short: Ito is an irresponsible and bad mechanic. Don't believe all the hype he puts on himself. My car is in worse shape than when it went in. You really are better off going to a dealership, at least with Mazda you can sue them.

His shop got vandalized, prolly by costumers that he screwed over in all the years. Hell if i wasn't in FL i would go vandalize his shop again just for some form of retribution. Last time he called me was to see if i could translate Chinese for him since he was going to China to get his fake disease cured.

With the plane ticket to China he could've repayed my stereo and door handle......but i just want nothing to do with him now, and I am just warning the new guys to stay away from this Ito. He talks alot of **** but he's a terrible mechanic.

Holy cow. How did he ever get such a good rep in the rotary world if he's got a body of pissed off customers? Did he used to be a stand-up guy?

I'm sure he knows how to fix rotaries but he is irresponsible when it comes to other people's money and cars. Looking at him post about his latest projects just makes me sick. How many ppl did he rip off to funded his race cars. Last time I was at the raceway in Freehold his rx3 burnt out at the starting line. Some mechanic he is.

I just went to a real mechanic to get that leaky engine fixed and he dropped a bomb on me. The remanned motor that I got from Ray's was painted over and in poor condition. Re-manned motors are not painted but a solid Al block. So Ito has also stolen my good motor and put in a used one with leaky gaskets.

If anyone has any info on Juan/Ito place let me know, I wish to pursue him in the court of law.

Sam Sorry about our fucked up situation. I replaced the wheels and I told you Im willing to replace the other parts that were stolen as soon as I got settled into my new place. Im settled and here I am. not running from you or anyone else. You have every rite to be upset. like other customers I'll also do right by you.

The engine that I installed in your Rx7 was the engine from Malloy Mazda. I did not repaint anything and I totally installed your malloy engine.(don't forget you have an automatic 3rd gen. and 3rd gen. automatic engines are hard to come by, engine we ordered from malloy was specifically automatic) If you forgot, you took a look at the serial number on the timing cover after the engine was installed. Like I said I'll replace your speaker box and anything else that was missing. Not here trying to hide from you. I just needed to settle in. here is my cell phone number for you or anyone else looking for me!! im a big boy.. no need to run away from you or no one..973-572-7617
