Default Rx8 issues

I started having some issues with my 8 the other night that I can't figure out other than that I'm leaning toward it being related to the ECU.
I was driving the other night and my ecu reset on it's own. I started the car and just down the road I noticed the coolant light and the CEL were not lit, but later they both came back on, due to my faulty coolant sensor and P2004 (APV) and P0139 for a gutted cat.
The next day after this happened, my engine flooded for the first time since I've owned it. 20 minutes of de flooding later I got to leave the gas station and immediately pulled over again because my temperature gauge was all the way on hot and I refilled coolant. Later that night after no more issues I had to take an hour and a half drive, again with no issues. The car sat for another 2 hours or so and when I went to start the car to leave, it sounded exactly like it was running on only one rotor, and a ton of smoke from my tail pipe. So, I had the car towed 60 miles back home, where I had to start the car again to move it because I couldn't just roll it into place, and it started on both rotors, no smoke. It seems to be running fine now, but this all still worries me.

Plugs, coils, and air filter all replaced less than 1k miles ago

Hey man I am new to rotors my self but knowing engs for yrs now it sounds like u had a spark problem which lead to ur smoking and flooding problems if it happens again I would check all of ur wiring for the feed power to the coils. If they are all good and the connectors aren't in poor condition u could have a intermittently bad coil pack that's causing ur problems. I have had traditional engs that have done that where u run it and it's fine though the cycle and the next time u start it and it's. It working did u try to rev it up I have seen that spike the coil to start working and I have had brand new out of the box bad depending on the brand of coils quality sucks sometimes the parts store I use all the time bought there suppliers a few yrs ago and since then I have had a few reman parts and parts under there own name that where bad on the shelf where qc should have got it. If it does it again check all ur coils. Good luck. I just got an rx8 waiting on it to be delivered next week. And mine doesn't run so I have to diagnose it first.
