Default Cold Air Intake Stall

I just recently put a k&n cold air intake into my 2007 RX8, Now when I give it gas it revs up then when its coming down on the rpms it bogs down to about 400 rpms and stalls. Ive come up on many stop lights pushed in the clutch and it stalls almost every time. Ive unplugged the battery and cleaned the MAF. i dont know what the problem is. i just put the stock intake back on today, and it runs absolutely fine!?!?! I have no clue whats wrong but i would like to put the K&N back in the car, please help.

Yea everything is fine, the stock intake works great but it does not produce the sound I want. Could it be that I have no screens in it?

did you reset the fuel trim computer? if not it likely hasnt had time to adjust to the new intake, if you have it will take a bit of time to learn the new intake for the fuel trims to even out, idle is the hardest one for the computer to learn

How can I change the fuel trims? Tuner? Or is there a free way I can do this ? and yea I se what your saying. It runs fine but it can't idle and its hard to get off the line. Also on the CAI I did not connect that little green plug with the two wires coming out that run into the maf, could that be a problem? What that small green plug, plugs into looks to be a dummy plug. But then again it might be one of those magical connecters that mysterously changes everything

nevermind ive figured it out, but its odd. all i did was fit the CAI filter inside of the stock intake box. all i had to do was take that horn off to fit it in there. suprisingly it runs great and has a nice tone. oh well it works for me lol

glad you got it figured out. but for future ref. the computer modifies the fuel trims all the time to acount for changes like a dirty filter etc. but it just takes for ever as those changes take a long time. reseting the computer puts it at some factory determind point that will run and is a starting point for the computer to ajust from. to do it is like 20 pumps of the brake really fast. not 100% sure thats right so dont quote me
