Well to bring an old thread back. I own a 2008 wrx just picked up a 93 fd hats off to the fd way more fun to drive on the street the the wrx havnt got a chance to auto X the fd yet but my wrx is 403 hp on meth running a 16g turbo set up and i have only had one fd beat me but there's not that meny around my area and Awd launch's take practice it is real easy to bog the car off the line witch wen it happens your done especially running a 16g turbo hard to spool. but after driving the fd for a few days i dont think it would take much due to the gear difference in the fd to the wrx.......God i love the FD

Ive owned 3 FDs and an EVO. EVOs/STIs are a completely different beast to compare to an FD. EVOs and STis have alot more low end grunt but dont have the top end or gearing to hang with an FD at higher speeds.

Re: Any Fd Race A Sti Yet?
I have, a 2013 sti. Easily won by 2 or 3 car lengths. (Would have been more but I didn't have a lot of room to let the rex stretch its legs) Might have been because it sounded like he shifted at about 3000-4000 rpms, or mine was actually faster, not sure, but I won.
