they're both good, fast cars, the supra is a little heaveir, but as I understand, has a stronger engine. Also, I beilive the Supra tips the scale a little more than the 7, and I really, really like lightweight cars.

It's really up to you.

Well, if you can afford the Supra (25k and up on average) you could probably afford an FD as well, so get both.

Welll I had my choice before for almost the same price.
RX7 WHITE ----- TTSupra BLACK
33,000km 55,000
wheels stock wheel
no aero all the aero
stock motor stock motor
no real extras no more real extras

RX7 corners like its on rails. Supra sways
Rx7 handles like a sports car. Supra drives like a CADDY

Nuff said, untill I drove both I was set on the SUPRA, after the drive
I said RX7!!!

Take it for a drive and see how you like it STOCK! Aftermarket parts only
blur the actual car. Granted aftermarket parts can improve preformance
but I have seen several drag races stock and SUPER STREET and RX7
out does it.

Supras dont have that strong of an engine, its a TOYOTA though, its a
runner. Supra is very roomy, the RX7 has none.

Drive and play before you PAY!

WOW! that rimmed haha

yeah the rx-7 defintley will handle like the lighter car it is. the supra even looks like like a bg intimidating monster. no chance of hoping for the sleeper look with a supra. an fd without a major body kit and without a ricey rear spoiler ca always sneak up on some people

I don't get it...you posted this on Dec 4th....but it says in your info that you just bought a FD on the 3rd.

So how you going to make this decision when you already own the car?
You thinking of selling it for a supera?

of course with all that light weight comes a body and interior that as fragile as a cheap Christmas ornimant.

Dont get me wrong, I love the rx7 but its more of a hands on kinda car that like a high maint wonman, requires a lot of attention. You cant be scared of getting your hands dirty. Even if you can afford to have things modded and fixed you still better do it yourself if you want it done right.

Luckily there is a TON of online support for the RX7. You could build the entire car from online help.

then why don't you fix it first... drive and see how you like it... if you have doubt.. go and drive a supra then. if you want the supra then you can sell you fd for more now cause you fixed it already.

Seeing how the car doesn't run.....I think you should just tear the whole car down. Sell all those nice goodies you have to us for dirt cheap. Then go and buy the supra. Sounds good to me :bigok:

if i had the money I'd get a supra...

got to ride in my neighbors daily driven 11 sec single turbo supra...OMG the feeling was great. not to say an FD wouldn't pin you back in the seat just as far...but day in and day out without issues? hmmmmm

test drove a brand new 2001 Supra RZ in Tokyo...really liked it...i thought it handled great although i couldn't push it too hard...

like someone said it IS a toyota...build quality is excellent...

JT, "Supras dont have that strong of an engine" You are kidding right? A stock supra motor can (and does on several cars) make in excess of 900 rwhp. No flame here iI just think that when you tell a joke on line you should let the newbies know you are joking. I have a 97 Supra making 430rwhp, and a 400+ rwhp FC, I've spent plenty of seat time in modded Fds, FCs, and Supras, all are great cars, all have strengths, and weaknesses. The Supra is BULLETPROOF, anyone that says different has never owned one. Just like a seven, you can make any amount of HP you want if you have the cash. You can buy a 93-95 supra for 20-25k, spend 10k and have a bulletproof 750rwhp car(that weighs3600lbs)there are a couple hundred of these on the streets . You would have to make 560rwhp in an FD to get the same power to weight ratio. Not many people are making that kind of HP in an FD, race or daily driven. Bad gas, or overheat the RX7, and it can be time for a new motor. In a Supra it just retards the ignition a little and your on your way. My 4 year old son went into the glove box of my Supra and used the AFC to take out 50% fuel at 4000rpm. Everytime the car would hit boost(20psi) the car would stutter and almost stall. Found the problem, reset the AFC, no harm done. Try that in a rotary. On the flip side the RX7s are drivers cars, way more fun to drive at the limit because they are lighter, smaller, and better balanced. Given the same investment you could probably build to comparable cars, the difference is the Supra will be on the same motor 10 years from now, and the RX7 will not...

No war, just the facts, Carl

i think it all comes down to driving the car... you can be set on something in your head but then you drive it and everything changes.
